About The Brand: TEN78

The TEN78 brand developed as a result of the Law Enforcement Training Class: "Mastering Proactive Policing for Patrol " taught by Instructor SGT Craig Meyer

In class, there are several key behaviors displayed by suspects that are broken down in detail and shown to the attendee so they know exactly what they look like in real time as they happen on patrol. As those behaviors are observed in clusters, you will hear the radio communication from Sgt Meyer, requesting a "10-78" which is 10-code for send an additional unit, non-emergency. This is heard over and over again prior to very impactful arrests, after key behaviors are recognized/observed. This class preaches the importance of being confident in the behavior changes you are seeing and then getting back-up rolling early to stack the deck in the officers favor for a safe win against the suspect(s), minimizing risk of flight and or assault to both the suspect(s) and to the officer(s).

Another crucial tactic for having success and maintaining street survival is utilizing perception field craft during suspect encounters and "Flipping the Script" a.k.a., doing things differently as an officer than the suspect is expecting to have happen to keep us having the advantage until backup arrives. This is the reason that the brand logo "TEN78" is upside down and flip the script is right side up. This is by design. On the back of the class challenge coin you will see a few key behaviors unfolding that we see time and time again at the street level; suspect vehicles entering driveways followed by doors opening prior to officer initiation, as well as those operating bicycles, getting off the bike and walking it. Once you attend class, you won't be able to unsee these behaviors and many more.
